3 years agoThree teams are reportedly interested in free-agent first baseman/designated hitter Albert Pujols, but the Colorado Rockies are not one of those teams. The Seattle Mariners could be interesting, and the St. Louis Cardinals would be a crowd-pleaser since Pujols began his illustrious career with them. Now that the DH is in play for all of baseball, Pujols has a shot to return to the National League. The 41-year-old future Hall of Famer is a shell of the former hitter he was, but he still can hit lefties a bit and could be attractive as a veteran bench bat heading into the 2022 season. Pujols slashed just .236/.284/.433 with 17 home runs and 50 RBI in 109 combined games with the Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers last year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
