3 years agoSome believed Alex Bowman backed into another victory last week at Las Vegas. However, Bowman, who finds ways to win and lead some laps too, qualified ninth for Sunday's Phoenix race. He lost a little bit of speed around turns 3 and 4 to finish 0.193 seconds behind Ryan Blaney. Bowman tested among the five fastest cars on the 1.022-mile track back in January. There were speed intervals where Bowman even rivaled teammate Kyle Larson. He easily could be one to watch out for come Sunday as the No. 48 car did not appear to have any issues with his car. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
