3 years agoThe Washington Nationals signed free-agent pitcher Aaron Sanchez to a minor-league deal with an invite to spring training on Sunday. If the right-hander makes the big leagues, he could earn up to $4 million in performance bonuses. The 29-year-old was solid for the Giants in 2021, posting a 3.06 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and a 26:15 K:BB over 35 1/3 innings before being released by the team in mid-August. Sanchez is mainly an option in deeper leagues if he cracks Washington's starting rotation, which could happen with Joe Ross (elbow) and Stephen Strasburg (shoulder) recovering from injuries.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
