3 years agoFree-agent outfielder Seiya Suzuki worked out for the San Diego Padres at Petco Park over the weekend, according to sources. Suzuki also visited with starting pitcher Yu Darvish (the two share an agent) and his family before the right-hander left for spring training in Arizona. It's no secret that the Padres are looking for another outfielder in 2022, and Suzuki has the potential to become an everyday starting corner outfielder right away. The 27-year-old do-it-all outfielder should be one of the higher-profile rookies in baseball this year, regardless of which team he signs with. Suzuki has plenty of power and a strong plate approach.
