Twins Have Checked In On Trevor Story
3 years agoThe Minnesota Twins are once again in need of a shortstop after trading Isiah Kiner-Falefa to the New York Yankees on Sunday night, and they have money to spend. As a result, they have checked in on free-agent shortstop Trevor Story, and he's a logical fit. Story wants to remain at shortstop and has turned down nine-figure deals (more than $100 million) because they were for other positions. The 29-year-old became a free agent when he declined his qualifying offer last November. Landing in Minnesota wouldn't be the most attractive location for Story, who hasn't fared very well in his career outside of hitter-friendly Coors Field. Still, he'll be one of the highest-ceiling shortstops due to his power-speed combination. Stay tuned.
