3 years agoThe Oakland Athletics acquired outfielder Cristian Pache, catcher Shea Langeliers and starting pitchers Ryan Cusick and Joey Estes from the Atlanta Braves on Monday in exchange for first baseman Matt Olson, according to a source. The A's are clearly rebuilding heading into 2022, but it's a big prospect haul for them. Pache and Langeliers were ranked by MLB Pipeline as Atlanta's top two prospects, while Cusick comes in at No. 6 and Estes at No. 14. In his first 24 big-league games, Pache has been a disappointment with the bat, hitting .119/.157/.209 with a homer and four RBI. Langeliers had a combined 22 home runs and 53 RBI while hitting .256 for Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett in 97 games.
