Texans Deny Colts Attempt To Speak With Deshaun Watson
3 years agoThe Houston Texans have declined the Indianapolis Colts attempt to speak with quarterback Deshaun Watson, according to a source. The Texans are comfortable trading Watson, just not within their own division. Watson's trade market has perked up now that teams know he won't be facing criminal charges stemming from sexual-misconduct allegations that kept him from playing all of the 2021 season. Right now, the Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints are his primary suitors, and Watson plans to meet with them before he decides to waive his no-trade clause. The Colts traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders are in the market for a new QB this offseason. San Francisco 49ers QB Jimmy Garoppolo is expected to be an option, but the Colts might want to wait to see how he recovers from shoulder surgery first.
