Broncos Agree With D.J. Jones
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos agreed to a three-year, $30 million deal with $20 million fully guaranteed with free-agent defensive tackle D.J. Jones on Monday, according to a source. The Broncos needed to replace Shelby Harris, who was part of the trade to acquire quarterback Russell Wilson, and Jones will help them do that. The 27-year-old played in all 17 regular season games last year and had a career-high 56 tackles (40 solo), 10 tackles for loss, three QB hits, two forced fumbles and two sacks for the San Francisco 49ers in his fifth NFL season. Jones had strong marks in both run and pass defense and is a big addition to a Broncos defense that was their strength in 2021.
