Jaguars Release Myles Jack
3 years agoAfter their spending spree on Monday, the Jacksonville Jaguars released linebacker Myles Jack on Tuesday, according to a source. Jack led the Jaguars in tackles last season with 108 (62 solo), and he also had three tackles for loss in 15 games in Jacksonville. Outside of the tackles, though, the 26-year-old had no sacks, interceptions, passes defensed or forced fumbles despite playing in an every-down role in 2021. Releasing him only leaves behind $7.2 million in dead salary cap money. Jack has 100-plus tackles in three of his six NFL seasons, which have all come with the Jaguars, so he shouldn't have any problems attractive interest from other teams on the open market. He was a second-round pick in 2016 out of UCLA.
