Steelers Sign James Daniel To Three-Year Deal
3 years agoThe Pittsburgh Steelers signed offensive lineman James Daniels to a three-year, $26.5 million deal on Tuesday, according to sources. Daniels comes over to Pittsburgh after spending the first four seasons of his career with the Chicago Bears. He was a second-round pick in 2018 out of Iowa. The 24-year-old has primarily played guard in his career and made 17 starts at the position for Chicago last season. Daniels also has experience at center, but he's likely to stay at right guard in his new home with Trai Turner heading to free agency. Daniels has started 48 of his 54 games in the last four years for the Bears. He'll likely be blocking for new quarterback Mitchell Trubisky in 2022.
