Randy Gregory Reverses Course, Signs With Broncos
3 years agoUpdating a previous story, free-agent defensive end Randy Gregory is signing a five-year, $70 million deal with the Denver Broncos on Tuesday after a deal for the same length and money fell apart for him to re-sign with the Dallas Cowboys. Gregory's contract includes $28 million guaranteed. The 29-year-old had knee surgery in January, but he's expected to be ready for offseason workouts and will be an additional pass-rushing threat opposite Bradley Chubb in Denver. Gregory has never played in more than 14 regular season games in his five years in the NFL due to off-the-field issues and injuries, but if he stays on the field for the Broncos, their defense could be even more formidable than they were in 2021. Gregory had a career-high-tying six sacks in only 12 games last year for Dallas.
