3 years agoThe Houston Astros plan to make a new offer to free-agent shortstop Carlos Correa shortly, according to a source. Correa's potential return is creating buzz in camp, and "players can't stop talking about it," according to one source. Correa and Freddie Freeman are the biggest names left on the open market with spring training games beginning later this week. The 27-year-old has been discussing a potential one-year deal to return to Houston, but if they can't agree, he could look for a long-term deal in the five- to 10-year range. Correa was reportedly seeking a $330-350 million deal earlier in the offseason before MLB's lockout. He's currently ranked as the No. 13 fantasy shortstop by RotoBaller, but he could become more attractive with a return to Houston.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
