3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons re-signed kicker Younghoe Koo to a five-year, $24.25 million contract extension with $11.5 million guaranteed on Tuesday, according to a source. Koo was scheduled to become a restricted free agent, but instead the Falcons are locking up one of the league's most accurate kickers. The 27-year-old cashes in after making 92.6% of his 94 field-goal tries over the last three seasons in Atlanta. He was a Pro Bowler in 2020 and made 27 of his 29 field-goal attempts and all 30 of his extra-point tries in 17 games in 2021. Koo has been incredibly accurate in his time with Atlanta and kicks indoors for half of his games, but he finished as just the No. 17 overall kicker last year in terms of overall points.
