3 years agoThe Atlanta Falcons will meet with Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson on Wednesday, the fourth meeting for a team that has extended a trade offer for Watson. In addition to the Falcons, the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panthers and Cleveland Browns are the others. The Falcons have jumped into the mix on Watson late, and any potential trade for the 26-year-old signal-caller would likely involve Matt Ryan going to the Texans. However, the Falcons would also take a huge dead-money hit if they were to send Ryan packing. Watson sat out all of the 2021 due to his legal issues, but he's a clear upgrade over the aging Ryan at this point, even if the league slaps Watson with a suspension in 2022.
