J.D. McKissic Changes His Mind, Re-Signs With Commanders
3 years agoFree-agent running back J.D. McKissic, who intended to sign a two-year, $7 million deal with the Buffalo Bills, has changed his mind and will now re-sign with the Washington Commanders for the same compensation, according to sources. The reversal of course is good news for Bills running back Devin Singletary and bad news for Commander running back Antonio Gibson. While Gibson should remain Washington's primary back in 2022, McKissic will take away valuable pass-catching work as a change of pace. McKissic played in only 11 games in 2021 due to an injury, but he had a career-high 80 receptions on 110 targets for 589 yards and two touchdowns in the passing game in 2020, and he should once again be useful in PPR formats in 2022.
