3 years agoFree-agent first baseman Freddie Freeman agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Wednesday night on a six-year, $162 million deal. The Atlanta Braves are said to have offered $140 million for five years, but Freeman had been looking for at least a six-year deal all along. The 32-year-old five-time All-Star had a .300/.393/.503 slash line with an .896 OPS, 31 home runs, 83 RBI, a league-high 120 runs scored and eight stolen bases in 2021 in 695 plate appearances for the Braves. In a Dodgers lineup that is absolutely stacked, it's scary to think that Freeman could produce even better numbers in his hometown. The move to Los Angeles puts Freeman in position to be the top-ranked fantasy first baseman right next to Vladimir Guerrero Jr.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
