Trevor Story Choosing Between Four Teams
3 years agoSuperstar free-agent shortstop Trevor Story is choosing one of four teams soon. The San Francisco Giants, Boston Red Sox and two other teams remain in the mix for his services, and Story has prioritized winning. He's also considering a short-term positional move, too, if necessary. If Story were to sign with either the Giants or Red Sox, he'd be moving to the keystone, as the Giants already have Brandon Crawford at short and the Red Sox have Xander Bogaerts manning the 6. The 29-year-old somewhat underwhelmed with his .251/.329/.471 slash line in 526 plate appearances with the Colorado Rockies last year, but he still managed 24 home runs, 75 RBI, 88 runs and 20 stolen bases in 142 games. Story will lose a little fantasy shine leaving Coors Field, but his blend of power and speed at his position still makes him plenty attractive to fantasy managers.
