Bengals Cut Trey Hopkins Friday
3 years agoThe Cincinnati Bengals cut center Trey Hopkins on Friday. Hopkins was one of the worst starting centers last year and contributed to the team's poor offensive line play in front of quarterback Joe Burrow. He allowed four sacks and 20 QB pressures while making 15 starts in 2021. The 29-year-old offensive lineman entered the league as an undrafted free agent out of Texas and has spent all six of his NFL seasons with the Bengals. It's unclear if Hopkins will land a starting gig with another team on the open market after his poor play a season ago.
