3 years agoQuarterback Baker Mayfield has informed the Cleveland Browns that he'd prefer to be traded to the Indianapolis Colts, according to sources. The Browns said earlier this week that they'd work with him on a trade prior to his request, but it remains to be seen if the Browns will accommodate such a move within the AFC. Mayfield was pretty bad in 2021 while playing most of the season with a torn labrum in his non-throwing shoulder. Cleveland didn't want to wait around to see if he'd be better in 2022 with better health, though. The Colts might be the best landing spot for the 26-year-old after they traded Carson Wentz to the Washington Commanders. But Mayfield would remain nothing more than a low-upside QB2 in another run-first offense if he lands with Indy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
