Eagles Re-Sign Running Back Boston Scott
3 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles re-signed running back Boston Scott to a one-year, $1.75 million deal on Friday that is worth up to $2.25 million with incentives, according to a source. Scott will receive $1.1 million guaranteed. The 26-year-old will return to a crowded Eagles backfield that also includes Miles Sanders, Jordan Howard and Kenneth Gainwell. Scott will fit into a complementary role once again and serve as valuable depth at the position. He carried the ball a career-high 87 times last year for 373 yards and seven touchdowns, adding 13 catches on 16 targets for 83 receiving yards. Scott has a nose for the end zone, but unless the Eagles backfield is hit by injuries again, it'll be hard to get behind him as a weekly flex option.
