Broncos Restructure Tim Patrick's Contract
3 years agoThe Denver Broncos restructured wide receiver Tim Patrick's contract to lower his salary cap hit for the 2022 season from $9.25 million to $4.6 million, giving the Broncos around $4.6 million in cap space. Patrick agreed to restructure a $6.95 million roster bonus that was due on March 21, converting it into a signing bonus. He's still due a $1.5 million base salary, and his 2023 cap hit will increase to $11.57 million. Denver could do a similar restructure with Courtland Sutton, as he's due a $10.5 million roster bonus on March 21. Patrick led the team with 742 receiving yards and six touchdowns in 2020, and he followed that up with 734 yards and five touchdowns on 53 catches in 2021. He'll be more attractive as a WR4/flex in deeper leagues with quarterback Russell Wilson in town, but his big games will be hard to predict in an offense with many weapons.
