Packers Give Rasul Douglas A Three-Year Deal
3 years agoThe Green Bay Packers agreed to a three-year, $21 million deal worth up to $25.5 million with free-agent cornerback Rasul Douglas on Saturday, according to a source. The Packers picked Douglas up off the Arizona Cardinals practice squad in October of last year, and he went on to make 57 tackles (52 solo), a career-high five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns) and 13 passes defensed in 12 games (nine starts) for Green Bay. The 26-year-old was tied for fourth in the NFL in interceptions and was tied for 15th in pass breakups, proving to be an impact player for the team down the stretch. Douglas earned his new contract and will open the 2022 season as a starting member of the secondary.
