Browns Trying To Re-Sign Jarvis Landry, Jadeveon Clowney
3 years agoAfter clearing more salary cap space on Saturday, the Cleveland Browns are trying to re-sign both wide receiver Jarvis Landry and pass-rusher Jadeveon Clowney, according to league sources. Now that the Browns have quarterback Deshaun Watson, it's much more likely that they get both Landry and Clowney back. The Browns have been talking to the agents of both players and will try to get deals done sooner than later. If Landry returns, he'd be the No. 2 receiver behind Amari Cooper and would be an excellent bounce-back candidate in PPR leagues with Watson now in town. The 29-year-old was slowed by injuries and poor quarterback play in 2021 when he finished with career-lows in receptions (52), receiving yards (570) and touchdowns (two) in 12 games.
