Seahawks Re-Sign Rashaad Penny
3 years agoThe Seattle Seahawks agreed to re-sign running back Rashaad Penny to a one-year, $5.75 million deal on Sunday, according to sources. The former first-round pick turned down more money elsewhere to build off his excellent second half in 2021. Penny will have the ability to make $6.5 million through incentives. The 26-year-old has a long list of injury issues, but he finished last year with 119 carries for 749 yards and six touchdowns with Chris Carson injured for most of the season. Penny's arrow is pointing upward, but with Carson expected to be ready for training camp this summer, his fantasy ceiling will likely be capped in a timeshare in Seattle's backfield.
