Brandon Drury Signs With Reds
3 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds signed free-agent third baseman Brandon Drury to an undisclosed deal on Monday. Drury hit .274 in 84 major league at-bats last year in 51 games for the New York Mets, hitting four home runs while driving in 14. He was a starter for the Toronto Blue Jays as recently as 2019 and can play third base, second base and some outfield. The 29-year-old will serve in a super-utility role for the Reds if he makes the team out of spring training. In seven years in the big leagues, Drury has a .249/.296/.415 slash line with 51 home runs, 190 RBI and 161 runs scored in 1,708 plate appearances over 507 games.
