Jayron Kearse Re-Signs With Cowboys
3 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys re-signed safety Jayron Kearse to a two-year deal with a base salary of $10 million in 2022 on Monday, according to a source. Kearse can make up to $11 million in incentives. He will return for his second season in Dallas after recording a career-high 101 tackles (67 solo), nine tackles for loss, six QB hits, one sack, two interceptions, 10 passes defensed and one fumble recovery in 16 games (15 starts) last year. In his first four years with the Minnesota Vikings from 2016-19, Kearse was primarily a special teams player. The 28-year-old was originally a seventh-round selection by the Vikings out of Clemson, but he has become a key piece of Dallas' secondary.
