Vikings Re-Sign Sean Mannion
3 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings are re-signing backup quarterback Sean Mannion to an undisclosed one-year deal on Tuesday, according to a source. The Vikings have brought back starting quarterback Kirk Cousins and now Mannion. The 29-year-old former third-round pick of the St. Louis Rams in 2015 out of Oregon State, Mannion will return to Minnesota for his fourth season. He didn't get on the field at all in 2020 and has made only two starts for the Vikings since 2019, going 34-for-57 for 315 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. In parts of 14 games over six NFL seasons, Mannion has just three starts, but Cousins values him as his backup.
