Seahawks Will Try Hard To Re-Sign DK Metcalf
3 years agoSeattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team will try hard to re-sign wide receiver DK Metcalf before the 2022 season begins. "It's really important to us. We love him. He maybe will go down as one of the great draft picks we've ever had here. We are going to do everything we can to get it done," Carroll said. Metcalf has been the subject of offseason trade rumors while getting set to enter the final year of his rookie deal. The 24-year-old had 75 catches on 129 targets for 967 yards and a career-high 12 touchdowns over a full season last year, but he will miss quarterback Russell Wilson tremendously. As things stand now, Drew Lock is in line to start under center for Seattle in 2022, which would be a massive downgrade for Metcalf's fantasy value.
