Cowboys Re-Sign Carlos Watkins
3 years agoThe Dallas Cowboys re-signed defensive tackle Carlos Watkins to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday, according to a source. Watkins started 14 games last year and had 32 tackles, one sack and an interception that he returned for a touchdown. The 28-year-old won't be on the IDP radar at all, but he'll return to being a key run-stuffer for Dallas' improved defense in 2022. He was originally a fourth-round selection by the Houston Texans in 2017 out of Clemson. Watkins has 106 tackles (55 solo), 14 tackles for loss, seven QB hits and five sacks in 57 games (32 starts) in his five NFL seasons with the Texans and Cowboys.
