3 years agoFormer New Orleans Saints quarterback Trevor Siemian is visiting with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday, according to a source. The Raiders are looking for a backup to Derek Carr after Marcus Mariota signed with the Atlanta Falcons this week. Siemian, 30, made four starts for the Saints in 2021 with Jameis Winston injured, and he threw for 1,154 yards, 11 touchdowns and three interceptions on 188 total attempts over six games in 2021. He made a combined 24 starts for the Denver Broncos in 2016 and 2017, throwing 30 touchdowns and 24 interceptions for a passer rating of just 79.9. Siemian is a passable backup, but he's far too inconsistent to become fantasy relevant if he's forced into a starting role.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
