3 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge was disappointed a deal wasn't reached with the team before Tuesday's deadline to avoid salary arbitration -- he asked for a raise from $10.175 million to $21 million, while the Yankees offered $17 million. But Judge is hoping fluid conversations on a one-year or long-term deal can be completed before Opening Day. He hit .287 with 39 home runs and 98 RBI in 148 games last year and turns 30 next month. Judge continues to say that he won't talk about a new contract during the season, so if he's not signed by Opening Day, the 2022 season could be his last in pinstripes.
