Frank Schwindel Feeling Better
3 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Frank Schwindel (back) said he's feeling good and hopes to return to a Cactus League game by Saturday. He has resumed hitting in the cages. The 29-year-old first baseman was held out of the spring game on Wednesday as a precaution due to back tightness, and it sounds like the injury isn't very serious. In 259 plate appearances over 64 games with the Oakland Athletics and Chicago Cubs in 2021, Schwindel hit .326/.371/.591 with a .962 OPS, 14 home runs, 43 RBI and 44 runs scored. He was even better in Chicago, hitting .342 with 13 round-trippers and 40 RBI in 56 games. Schwindel is certainly worth taking a chance on for his power later in fantasy drafts now that he should be playing every day in Chicago.
