Damone Clark Undergoing Spinal Fusion Surgery
3 years agoFormer LSU linebacker Damone Clark (back) is undergoing spinal fusion surgery on Thursday after an MRI exam at the combine in February revealed a herniated disc, according to sources. Clark is one of the top linebackers in this year's draft, but he'll now likely miss his rookie season in 2022. The good news is that the 21-year-old is expected to make a full recovery. He will likely drop in the draft due to the injury, but he could be a big steal for whoever takes him if he can return to his pre-injury form in 2023. Clark had 77 solo tackles (15 for loss), 5.5 sacks, one interception, three passes defensed and a fumble recovery in 12 games for LSU last year in his senior season.
