Giants Agree With Richie James Friday
3 years agoThe New York Giants agreed with former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver/returner Richie James on an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday, according to a source. The former seventh-round pick missed last year with a knee injury after recording a career-high 23 catches in 2020. The 26-year-old from Middle Tennessee State will be more valuable to the Giants as a kick returner than a wideout, so fantasy managers can safely ignore him in all formats. In his three NFL seasons (all with the Niners), James has only 38 receptions for 689 yards and three touchdowns on 59 targets in 40 games (10 starts). He'll provide depth behind the likes of Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton and John Ross.
