Mike Brosseau Exits Friday's Game With Illness
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers infielder Mike Brosseau left Friday's Spring Training game with an illness, according to Will Sammon of The Athletic. The severity is unknown at the moment. The club acquired the 28-year-old from the Tampa Bay Rays over the offseason before the lockout. Brosseau slashed .187/.266/.347 with five home runs across 57 games in 2021. However, he put up a 109 wRC+ against left-handers and posted a 158 mark overall in 2020. Brosseau shouldn't miss any regular-season games, but it shouldn't affect many fantasy leagues either way. He doesn't have a starting job with the club and will be used as a platoon bat at best. Brosseau only has relevance in very deep or NL-only leagues, unless there's an injury to one of the Brewers infielders.
