Harold Ramirez Traded To Rays
3 years agoThe Chicago Cubs have traded outfielder Harold Ramirez to the Tampa Bay Rays Friday for minor-league infielder Esteban Quiroz, according to Jordan Bastian of MLB.com. Ramirez, 27, hit .268 with seven home runs, 41 RBI, 33 runs, and three stolen bases in 99 games last year with the Cleveland Guardians. His outlook doesn't change much after the trade, as the Rays have Randy Arozarena, Manuel Margot, Kevin Kiermaier, Brett Phillips, and Austin Meadows in the outfield mix already, leaving little at-bats for Ramirez. Fantasy managers should leave him on the draft board in almost every league. Quiroz is a 30-year-old who's never appeared in the big leagues but did post a .927 OPS last year in Triple-A. However, he likely won't get much of an opportunity next season and should be ignored altogether in fantasy drafts.
