3 years agoSan Francisco Giants infielder Tommy La Stella (Achilles) is running the bases and taking part in full baseball workouts at camp. He will be re-evaluated next week for spring training game activity. La Stella underwent surgery on his Achilles last October, and he still has a chance to be ready for Opening Day if he can get into some Cactus League games in the final week of spring training. The 33-year-old only has relevance in NL-only leagues as a part-time player in San Francisco. He hit .250/.308/.405 with seven home runs, 27 RBI and 26 runs scored in 242 plate appearances over 76 games in his first year with the Gigantes last season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
