Rockies Being Cautious With Peter Lambert
3 years agoThe Colorado Rockies are being cautious with right-hander Peter Lambert (elbow) after he had some pain in his elbow toward the end of the lockout. Lambert is fine now and will throw a live batting practice session on Monday, but he's recovering from Tommy John surgery in July of 2020. The 24-year-old allowed seven earned runs in two starts over 5 2/3 innings last year in his return, but given his setback early this year, he's unlikely to begin the 2022 season in the Rockies starting rotation. Lambert had a 7.25 ERA, 1.73 WHIP, a 10% strikeout rate and a 6.7% walk rate in 19 starts covering 89 1/3 innings in his rookie season in 2019. For now, fantasy managers can leave him to the waiver wire.
