C.J. Cron Clears Concussion Protocol
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron (head) cleared the league's concussion protocol after leaving the Cactus League game on Sunday against the Arizona Diamondbacks, according to manager Bud Black. Cron was hit in the head by a pitch, but it luckily hit his shoulder before hitting his helmet. The 32-year-old slugger will likely be back on the field on Tuesday after a scheduled off day on Monday. He hit .281/.375/.530 with 28 home runs, 92 RBI and 70 runs scored for the Rockies in 142 games last year. The majority of his production came at hitter-friendly Coors Field, but that's precisely what makes him a borderline top-10 fantasy first baseman.
