Saints Re-Sign Tre'Quan Smith To Two-Year Deal
3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints are re-signing wide receiver Tre'Quan Smith to a two-year deal with a base value of $6 million on Monday. Smith will have a chance to earn another $4.5 million through incentives/escalators. The deal also includes $2 million guaranteed. The 26-year-old finished his fourth year in New Orleans with 32 receptions on 50 targets for 377 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games (six starts). With Michael Thomas returning from injury in 2022, Smith is unlikely to suddenly break out with quarterback Jameis Winston running more of a ball-control offense in his second season as the full-time starter. Smith could have a better year if he can stay healthy, but the fantasy upside remains limited.
