Dolphins Not Pursuing Tyrann Mathieu
3 years agoThe Miami Dolphins are not pursuing free-agent safety Tyrann Mathieu, according to general manager Chris Grier. Mathieu's market has been pretty quiet in free agency, and it's possible that he could return to the Kansas City Chiefs now that they have more salary cap space following the trade of receiver Tyreek Hill. The Honey Badger is a three-time All-Pro and three-time Pro Bowler and has totaled 26 career interceptions (three for touchdowns), 76 passes defensed, six fumble recoveries and 10 sacks in nine NFL seasons with the Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals and Houston Texans. The 29-year-old is an elite playmaker in the secondary and is also a clubhouse leader, so it's a bit of a surprise he hasn't landed with a team yet.
