3 years agoKansas City Royals outfielder Michael Taylor (hip) is back in the team's Cactus League lineup on Tuesday against the Seattle Mariners, starting in center field and batting seventh. Taylor left the game early on Monday against the Cleveland Guardians with left hip tightness, but the injury obviously wasn't very serious at all. The 31-year-old signed a two-year extension with KC last September and will head into the 2022 season as their primary center fielder. Taylor had a .244/.297/.356 slash line with 12 home runs, 54 RBI, 58 runs scored and 14 stolen bases in 528 plate appearances over 142 games in his first year with the Royals in 2021. He can provide some modest speed in deep mixed and AL-only leagues, but he's known as more of a defensive-minded player in the outfield.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
