Lions All In On Jared Goff
3 years agoThe Detroit Lions are satisfied with quarterback Jared Goff as their starting QB. "We have a lot of optimism about Jared going forward. We have a quarterback. We have a starter that can be productive for us. Jared is our quarterback & we're going to make sure he's put in the best position to succeed," head coach Brad Holmes said. Goff wasn't spectacular in his first season in Detroit, but he peaked late in the year and finished as the QB24 in fantasy with a career-high 67.2 completion percentage, 3,245 yards, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 14 games. If the Lions are indeed so set on Goff, they could decide to trade down from No. 2 overall in next month's draft. Detroit added receiver DJ Chark Jr. in free agency, but Goff just doesn't succeed enough deep down the field to be a realistic QB1 on a weekly basis.
