Nolan Gorman Sent To Minors
3 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals reassigned infielders Nolan Gorman, Kramer Robertson and Anderson Tejeda, pitchers James Naile, Zach McAllister and Kyle Ryan, catcher Clint Coulter and outfielders Alec Burleson and Conner Capel to minor league camp on Wednesday. The moves leave the Cardinals spring training camp roster at 40 players. Gorman is the team's No. 2 prospect, per MLB Pipeline, and he is making the full-time switch from third base to second base with Nolan Arenado at the hot corner in St. Louis. The 21-year-old has impressive power and hit .279/.333/.481 with a career-high 25 home runs, 75 RBI and 71 runs at Double-A Springfield and Triple-A Memphis last year. Expect him to make his major league debut at some point in 2022.
