Andrew Vaughn Resumes Swinging
3 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Vaughn (hip) resumed swinging a bat on Wednesday. Vaughn is dealing with a hip-pointer injury that is expected to keep him out for one to two weeks, and while it's good news that he's swinging a bat, it remains to be seen if he'll be ready by Opening Day next week. But the 23-year-old should be ready to go before long, even if he isn't in the starting lineup for the first regular season game. Vaughn had his ups and downs in his rookie season in 2021 and hit only .235 with 101 strikeouts in 469 plate appearances, but he also recorded 15 home runs, 48 RBI and 56 runs scored in 127 games and should be a lineup regularly in an up-and-coming White Sox lineup.
