3 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Jordan Romano (ankle) said he had a "pretty encouraging" bullpen session on Friday in which he had full effort with normal velocity and movement. Romano plans to pitch in a minor league game on Sunday and a Grapefruit League game on Tuesday. "Then I'll be ready to go," Romano said. It doesn't look like the 28-year-old will miss Opening Day next week after dealing with a mild left ankle sprain, unless he suffers a setback in one of his next outings this spring. The right-hander had a nice 2.14 ERA, 1.05 WHIP, 23 saves and 85 strikeouts in 63 relief innings in his third big-league season last year and will handle ninth-inning duties for one of the better teams in baseball in 2022. That puts him on the borderline of being a top-10 fantasy closer.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
