3 years agoDenny Hamlin starts 13th at Richmond on Sunday. He finished last in qualifying among the four Joe Gibbs Racing cars. Over the last five races on the 3/4 mile track, Hamlin has led nearly 23% of the laps. Only Martin Truex Jr. has led more at 24.1%. Hamlin also has four top-five results but no wins. He has a few close calls. The No. 11 has never won the Spring race. It seems hard to believe but true. Hamlin did turn in one of the fastest laps late in the session but after the "A" group. Can JGR finally turn it around? Hamlin hopes so but who knows on Sunday. At least this week, the speed seems to be there in longer runs. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
