Leon Draisaitl Reaches 50 Goals, 100 Points
3 years agoEdmonton Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl notched a goal and an assist in Sunday's big 6-1 victory over Anaheim, getting up to 50 goals and 101 points for the season. The German superstar joined Alex Ovechkin and Steven Stamkos as the only active players with multiple 50-goal campaigns. He's also now tied for the third-most 50-goal seasons in Oilers history, behind Jari Kurri (4) and Wayne Gretzky (8). Draisaitl has reached 100 points in a season for the third time in the NHL and is on pace for a career-high 118 points. Currently, Draisaitl looks pretty much unstoppable as he'll enter Tuesday's battle with the Sharks riding a 12-game point streak that includes 22 points in total.
