3 years agoMinnesota Twins shortstop Nick Gordon was forced to leave the Grapefruit League game against the Boston Red Sox on a cart on Monday after a scary collision with outfielder Max Kepler. Gordon walked to the cart under his own power before leaving the game. The extent of the 26-year-old's injury is unknown, but with Opening Day coming later this week, there's a good chance he won't be ready for the start of the regular season. Gordon was having a fine spring, too, hitting .333 (8-for-24) with three extra-base hits in 11 games. In his first taste of big-league action last year, Gordon slashed .240/.292/.355 with four home runs, 23 RBI, 19 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 216 plate appearances over 73 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
