Darrel Williams Visits Cardinals
3 years agoFree-agent running back Darrel Williams visited the Arizona Cardinals on Monday, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The long-time Chief hit the open market this offseason after posting a career-high 1,010 scrimmage yards and eight touchdowns in 2021. The bulk of his work came while operating as a starter in place of the injured Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Evidently, Williams is taking his time in finding a new home. He likely won't return to the Chiefs after they signed Ronald Jones II, so don't be surprised to see Williams take similar visits in the near future. Undoubtedly, he would be a good fit for the Cardinals, serving as James Conner's backup after Chase Edmonds departed for Miami in March.
